Weather is pretty but warm. On account of some of having cramplies we all had a general inspection. We got rid of them in a few days. At about 2 p.m. we saw a steamer and we all got our mail ready in no time. We signaled the steamer which turned out to be the steamer Peru on her way to San Francisco. We got our mail on safe. The China leaves us today in order to get coaled at Honolulu before we arrive. This day we covered 274 miles.
