the Weather is clear and hot 7 of our men are doing Guard duty we are having fresh Meat to day and also sign the pay Roll and Muster roll we also have Inspection of Arms and Bat. Dressparade in the Evening we have all Kinds of Rumors afloat but nothing official Mail goes out via Hong Kong Herrington S. Rockwell and G Conn are on the Sick List

 

The weather is clear and hot. Seven of our men are doing guard duty. We have fresh meat. today and also signed the pay roll and muster roll. We also have inspection of arms and battalion dress parade. In the evening we have all kinds of rumors afloat but nothing official. Mail goes out via Hong Kong. [Charles] Herrington, S[amuel] Rockwell and [George] Conn are on the sick list.
