the Night was spent quietly in our district but the 3d Artillery where attaked in the Morning but the repulsed them in short Order 3 or 4 where wounded all Volunter Reg recieved 25 new Kraig Jorgeson Rifles for each company as the Springfield do in some cases not reach the Enemy

 

The night was spent quietly in our district but the Third Artillery was attacked in the morning but they repulsed them in short order. Three or four were wounded. All volunteer Regiments received 25 Krag-Jørgensen rifles for each company as the Springfields do, in some cases, not reach the enemy.
